Good Morning Slab Roller's! I've created this blog to help you build your home made slab roller (HMSR). I will post tips and revisions on my slab roller design as I or other Slabber's develop and more improvements. Feel free or rather PLEASE post your comments to add to the body of knowledge pertaining to the HMSR.

  1. One of the inmost rings that guide the cabling on the top cylinder has unglued on my roller. So I loosened the cables, moved it out of position, cleaned the original location of the rings and applied glue on the cylinder then wiggled rings into place. I made sure to position the cylinder so the inside rings were touching the aluminum railing. After the glue dried, I drilled a 1/8" hole in the center of the ring in about 8 locations and inserted a 3/8" pop rivet to further stabilize the ring. I believe the top cylinder receives more lateral forces than the bottom subsequently causing the rings to loosen. I also installed the rivets on the opposite side ring even though it did not unglue hoping to prevent what happened to the first ring. Let me know if you are experiencing this problem.
